CEC Annual Work Meeting 2022 held in Beijing

January 27, 2022 /CEC/ - On January 26, 2022, China Electricity Council (CEC) held the Annual Work Meeting 2022 in Beijing. Moderated by Xia Zhong, the Vice President of CEC, Xin Baoan, the President of CEC attended the Meeting and delivered a speech. Yang Kun, the Executive President of CEC made the Working Report summarizing and reviewing the achievements of CEC in the past year and introducing the working plan for this year. At the Meeting, CEC also commended the advanced departments, excellent employees, outstanding working projects and the advanced branches of CEC in 2021 and presented awards to related representatives. The Meeting was held hybrid in a combination of onsite and online formats. 

Xin Baoan summarized the work achievements of China’s power industry in 2021 in ensuring the nation’s power supply, accelerating clean and low-carbon energy transformation, enhancing the independent creative abilities and promoting the involvement of the nation’s "Belt and Road" Initiative. In 2021, CEC was honored as the "5A-Level Social Organization" and the "National Advanced Social Organization" by the Ministry of Civil Affairs, making active contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the power industry and improving its own service quality.

In the Working Report, Yang Kun summarized and reviewed the work of CEC in 2021 from eight aspects, incl. study of the history of the Communist Party, association management, energy supply guarantee, think tank function, professional services, international cooperation as well as the management of the branches and associations under the administration of CEC. Then Yang Kun clarified the general working plan of CEC in 2022 and put forward five priorities:

-Implement the important policies of the power industry in China issued by the government

-Serving members from power industry in China based on their interests and demands

-Advocate the self-discipline of the power industry in China

-Accelerate the international cooperation between the power industries abroad and in China

-Put more emphasis on the organization structuring and team building to improve the management ability
