December 22, 2021 /CEC/ - On December 21, 2021, CEC held the 2021 Annual General Management Meeting in Beijing. The main purpose of the Meeting was to summarize CEC’s working result in 2021 and to formulate its working plan for next year. Yang Kun, the Executive President of CEC moderated the Meeting and delivered the speech. CEC management team, heads of the departments and representatives from direct-affiliated units, branch associations and the associations under the administration of CEC attended the Meeting, who discussed in-depth the ideas, opinions and suggestions to the working plan in 2022. The Meeting was held in hybrid way and joined both by in-person and virtual attendees.
Summery in 2021
At the Meeting, Yang Kun pointed out that in 2021, the new term of the Council of CEC has successfully completed the handing-over task, and carried out various works efficiently guiding by the principle of "Three Orientations and Four Excellences", thus to guarantee CEC’s work in line with the requirements of the country’s energy supply and the requirements of high-quality development of the power industry. 2021 was not only a good start year for the new management team of the Seventh Council, but also for the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. For reaching the nation’s "dual carbon" goal and building the New Type Power System with clean energy as mainstay, CEC would continue to innovate its operation mechanism and to improve the quality of members services and do the best of its sustained ability.
Plan in 2022
Yang Kun mentioned that in 2022, considering the new situation and requirements of the country and the goal of being the "Domestic Leading and World First-Class" industry association, CEC would plan its work in the following five aspects:
1. CEC will aim to serve its members and have an in-depth understanding of key service areas. CEC will put forward more professional suggestions to accelerate the high-quality development of the power industry.
2. CEC will be oriented to the demands of its members and take an active role in serving members. As the Think Tank of the power industry, CEC will create its brand products and actively be involved into the new service areas to get more opportunities for government and industry entrusted consulting programs.
3. CEC will actively promote the self-discipline of the power industry and maintain its healthy ecology. CEC will build a professional platform for the information exchanges of the industry legal and compliance affairs, and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the power industry and enterprises. CEC will also continue to promote the construction of the industry credit system and establish a unified credit management standard system in the field of electricity.
4. CEC will give full play to its role of the industrial bridge and link and promote the information exchanges and international cooperation. CEC will take all-out efforts to complete the Secretariat work of AESIEAP and give full play to the role of the Observer Organization of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, to enhance the international voice of China's power industry. Also, CEC will play the role of the AESIEAP's standardization working group and to build China's power standard brand.
5. CEC will continue to reform its institutional mechanism and strive to become the world-class industry association.
