The 18th Annual Meeting of SGSCC Sub-Working Group Electromobility was Held

November 05, 2021 /CEC/ - On November 2, 2021, the 8th Annual Meeting of SGSCC Sub-Working Group Electromobility was held in hybrid format. The Meeting was hosted by the General Administration of Market Supervision (Standards Committee), the German Federal Ministry of Economy and Energy, and jointly organized by China Electricity Council (CEC) and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ). Officials from the State Administration of Market Supervision, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Energy Administration, and more than 70 representatives from standardization organizations, associations, scientific research institutions and enterprises of China and Germany attended the Meeting.

Liu Yongdong, the Deputy Secretary General of CEC and the Director of Standardization Management Center, summarized the cooperation between China and Germany in the field of electric vehicles last year on behalf of the Chinese Secretariat. Experts from both sides had in-depth discussions on hot issues such as MCS megawatt charging of electric heavy truck, electric vehicle and charging related technologies and standards. Including load unloading, voltage level test of GB / T 18488 / ISO 16750 and other topics involved in GB / T 18487.1/ ISO 21498. China and Germany reached an agreement on the establishment of a megawatt charging joint working group for electric heavy trucks and other matters in the next step, and signed the minutes of the Meeting.

The Meeting further accelerated the standardization cooperation between China and Germany in the field of electric vehicles and its charging. Subsequently, the two sides will continue to carry out technical and standard exchanges, continue mutually beneficial cooperation in international and regional standardization organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
