CEC Published the ‘2021 Analysis Report on Electricity Supply and Demand in China’

Oct 22, 2021 /CEC/ - China Electricity Council (CEC) recently published the‘2021 Analysis Report on Electricity Supply and Demand in China" which introduced the general situation of China's electricity supply and demand in the past year and analyzed in depth the internal, external, macro and micro factors that drive the growth of the electricity supply and demand. The‘Report 2021’provided insights into the current situation and the future trends of the electricity supply and demand in China from a professional perspective and put forward constructive opinions and suggestions for relevant government departments and the power industry. 

Six chapters in the“Report 2021”covered three major parts:

I. Part One

To analyze the development of China's macroeconomic, the growth of power demand and its influencing factors, as well as the capacity of power supply and its influencing factors. 

II. Part Two

To analyze the balance of China's power generation capacity and electricity output in 2020. The ‘Report 2021’included the playback of the monthly electricity and electricity balance in 2020, the time period and scale of electricity shortage or surplus in each province in China, and focused on the possibility and necessity of cross-regional and cross-province power exchange. Through the analysis of capacity and electricity balance, the readers of the report could have an comprehensive understanding of the power exchange situation in various regions of China. 

III. Part Three 

To provide the prospects and advisories. The‘Report 2021’analyzed and forecasted the electricity supply and demand in China and the possible energy transition and development of the power industry in 2021. Moreover, the‘Report 2021’put forward opinions and suggestions on the macro policy of China and the development of the power industry for the future.
