CEC Held the "China Power Day 2021" in Shanghai

July 27, 2021, Shanghai /CEC/ - On the occasion of the 100th Anniversary of Founding of the Communist Party of China and the 139th Anniversary of China's Power Supply, CEC held the "China Power Day 2021" event in Shanghai on July 26, 2021. With the concept "Red Heart for the Centennial CPC & Green Development for the New Era" and in form of the singing performance, the Event showed the great achievements of the power industry for a century, and expressed the deep and sincere emotions to the Communist Party of China, to the Country China and to the People in China.

Jointly organized by CEC, Shanghai Electric Power University, China Electric Power Literature and Art Association and China Electric Power Ideological and Political Work Research Association, the Event attracted nearly 300 delegates to attend, including representatives from member companies of CEC, from the provincial power associations, from the Event organizers and from the media. 

The campaign "Lighting Up Journey" broadcasted at the Event reviewed the achievements of China power industry for a century. It reproduced the generations of people from power industry who achieved their dreams with a lofty sense of mission and responsibility. The singing performance "Power People Sing the Power Songs" presented the 23 programs selected from State Grid, China Southern Power Grid, China Huaneng, China Datang, China Huadian, China Energy, State Power Investment Group, China Three Gorges Corp, China National Nuclear Corp, China General Nuclear Power Corp, Power China, Energy China, Guangdong Energy Group, Zhejiang Energy Group, GCL Group, Inner Mongolia Power Group, China Green Development Group and Shanghai Electric Power University. The performance sent out voice of people from power industry to the whole society and deduced atlas and style of power industry for a century. 

In the past 100 years, especially after the founding of the new China, generations of people from power industry composed an epic of China's power industry development with loyalty and responsibility under leadership of the Communist Party of China. China's power industry had always been in same frequency as national development and national rejuvenation. Today, the power industry is at a critical juncture of the digital transformation and the construction of the New Type Power System as the mainstay. Moreover, the nation’s targets of achieving the carbon peak and carbon neutrality pointed out the development strategy of the power industry. People from power industry will continue to draw strength from history of party for a hundred years and to accelerate the development of power industry for contributing to great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.
