CEC Held the 2021 Semi-Annual Staff Meeting

July 23, 2021, Beidaihe /CEC/ - From July 20 to 21, 2021, CEC held the Semi-Annual Staff Meeting at the CEC Beidaihe Training Center. Topics of the Meeting included the summary of CEC’s works done in the first half of the year, analyzation of the existed problems and the solutions and further working plan for the next six months.

The Meeting was moderated by Xia Zhong, the Vice President of CEC and Yang Kun, the Executive Vice President of CEC made the semi-annual work report, which comprehensively summarized CEC’s work completion and the results achieved in the first half of the year. Yang Kun also analyzed the current situation, tasks and challenges of CEC and made arrangements for the second half of the year from the following six aspects: 

-To be the leading industry association, CEC should improve its leadership abilities

-To be the think tank for the power industry, CEC should improve its abilities of offering professional advices  

-To be the third-party service provider, CEC should improve its abilities of sustainable development 

-To be the industry platform, CEC should work more closely with the member companies

-To be the world-class association, CEC should improve its international cooperation capabilities

-To be the outstanding social organization in China, CEC should improve its service qualities to the members

The Administration Department introduced the results of visiting other national associations and the progress of CEC’s ‘14th-Five-Year Development Plan’ drafting. The International Cooperation Department reported the progress of the ‘Action Plan on Building the World-Class International Association’ drafting. The Planning and Development Department introduced the progress of ‘Action Plan on Assisting the Power Industry to Reach the Carbon Peak and Carbon Neutralization Targets’ drafting. All the participated department head and team expressed their opinions and had further discussions during the Meeting.
