Yang Kun Led a Joint Delegation to visit the National Wind PV Energy Storage and Transmission Demonstration Project in City Zhang Jiakou

Zhang Jiakou, June 09, 2021 /CEC/ - Led by Yang Kun, the Executive President of China Electricity Council (CEC), a joint delegation formed by CEC and the National Academy of Safety Science and Engineering under the Ministry of Emergency Management (NASSE) went to City Zhang Jiakou to visit the National Wind PV Energy Storage and Transmission Demonstration Project from 7th to 8th June 2021. Sun Huashan, the Former Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management and the President of NASSE, Kang Rongxue, the Vice President of NASSE, An Hongguang, the Vice President of CEC, Tian Bo, the President of the State Grid Jibei Electric Power Company were among the delegation members. 

To better provide the safety and emergency management services to the power industry, CEC and NASSE reached a strategic cooperation and both parties would work together on offering consulting and training services of the firefighting, security and incident response management，developing the security standards for the clean energy and energy storage power stations and applying the achievements of the safety and emergency technologies in power industry. An Hongguang, the Vice President of CEC and Kang Rongxue, the Vice President of NASSE signed the Agreement on behalf of both parties.

During the visit, Sun Huashan, the President of NASSE, systematically analyzed the nationwide security and emergency situation of the power industry and put forward his opinions and suggestions on its management. Meanwhile, Yang Kun indicated that the research team of the National Wind PV Energy Storage and Transmission Demonstration Project has overcome many difficulties in science and technology and transferred the scientific research results to the industrial applications successfully. The team solved the problems of the centralized grid connection of large-scale new energy generation and played a leading role in China's new energy construction and development. Yang Kun pointed out that to reach the nation’s targets of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, CEC will actively accelerate the alternation to the renewable energy and the electric energy. Moreover, to promote the green low-carbon technology and motivate the digital transformation of the power industry is also one of the main tasks of CEC.
