CEC-Led Special Research on The Implication Plan of National Standards Development and Pilot Application for Power Enterprises Social Responsibilities Approved

China National Institute of Standardization assigned a group of experts to implement a review and acceptance for National Standards Development and Pilot Application for Power Enterprises’ Social Responsibilities, which is a special research in National Key Research and Development Programme--Generic Technology Research and Development for Quality undertaken by China Electricity Council (CEC) in Beijing on Jan 20th. After process of reviewing, debriefing and questioning etc., specialists reached an agreement on its acceptance.

This research aims at improving the standard system of China power enterprises’ social responsibilities, to which more detailed technical guidelines and support are provided, so that the enterprises can perform their social responsibilities properly. What’s more, it contributes to the sustainable development of our economy, society and environment. 

This research was started officially from the second half of 2017. After one year of standard development and 2 years of pilot application, it passed the processes successfully including theoretical research, field research, standard drafting, pilot application, expert discussion, opinion collecting, paper publishing and report compiling. Finally, the standard version of Guideline for Power Enterprises’ Social Responsibilities came into being along with Pilot Application Report, General Report of Mission, Research and Technical Papers, etc. Thereinto, Guideline for Power Enterprises’ Social Responsibilities compiled by CEC had been included in Use GB/T 36000 in Management System, a national standard (GB/T 39653-2020), released officially in Dec. 2020.
