On December 25, China Electricity Council held the exploration and practical training of energy blockchain, and invited Wang Dong, the head of State Grid Blockchain Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., the chairman of IEEE PES Power Information Communication Blockchain Technology Subcommittee, and member of the Blockchain Committee of the Institute of Communications, as the lecturer.
Wang Dong introduced the definition, characteristics, functions and goals of blockchain technology, and the application status and development direction of blockchain technology. Based on the trend and characteristics of energy transition, Wang Dong analyzed how the blockchain contributes to the construction of the energy interconnection, summarized the typical application scenarios of the energy blockchain, and finally gave a forecast and outlook on the development trend and challenges of the energy blockchain.
During the lecture, the participants exchanged views on the impact of blockchain technology on the management mechanism, production and operation, power trading, integrated energy, technological innovation, and medium and long-term development of the energy industry.
