The inaugural meeting and the first working meeting of the Standardization Technical Committee for Electric Power Meteorological Application in the Energy Industry were held in Nanjing

On December 8, 2020, the inaugural meeting and first working meeting of the Standardization Technical Committee for Electric Power Meteorological Application in the Energy Industry were held in Nanjing. The meeting was hosted by the China Electricity Council and supported by NARI Group Co., Ltd. More than 40 delegates from the National Energy Administration, power grid enterprises, river basin power generation enterprises, meteorological departments, scientific research institutes, and universities attended the meeting.

The National Energy Administration's approval document on establishing the Standardization Technical Committee for Electric Power Meteorological Application in the Energy Industry was released on the meeting. Elected members of the technical committee were issued certificates. Representatives of the National Energy Administration attended the meeting and delivered a speech entitled "Improving the Quality of Energy Standards and Building Chinese Brand of Standard".

The first working meeting of the Technical Committee discussed and passed the regulations of the  Committee and the Secretariat's working rules, and conducted research and deployment of the next-step working plan.

The Technical Committee is composed of 28 members, and the secretariat is located in NARI Group Co., Ltd. The founding of the Committee has established a new communication platform between the energy industry and the meteorological department. By summarizing the unified requirements of electric meteorological applications, formulating a unified specification for the application of meteorological information in the energy industry, and the Committee aims at realizing the scientific and efficient application of meteorological information in the power field of the energy industry.
