The professional capability evaluation of the UAV inspection operators launched by CEC for the first time

On August 27, the professional capability evaluation of the UAV inspection operators in the power industry was successfully completed in Jining training station of Shandong for the first time. The evaluation is the first attempt of CEC to adapt to the national trend of skilled personnel evaluation system reform and promote the professional identification of vocational skill level.

In order to ensure the standardization and rationality of the evaluation work, CEC has organized and compiled the "Training and assessment specifications for UAV inspection operators in electric power industry". According to this standard, CEC have developed supporting training materials and assessment question bank, trained and evaluated a number of professional instructors, assessors and supervisors, and issuing certifications to three training bases qualified for training and evaluation. CEC also have developed a talent development service platform for the electric power industry that integrates the whole process management and control of registration, learning and assessment on the line.

The evaluation is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical examination. The theoretical examination is conducted in the form of network computer examination. The practical operation assessment is divided into three sub items: multi rotor UAV flight foundation, refined inspection of overhead transmission lines, visible light imaging or infrared equipment use and data processing.

This evaluation provides a strong support for improving the of UAV inspection skills among professionals in the electric power industry.
