Yang Kun visited China Southern Power Grid and Guangdong Energy Group for onsite research

On 3 to 7 August, Yang Kun, Executive President of the CEC, led a team  to China Southern Power Grid and Guangdong Energy Group for onsite program research and survey. Yang Kun held meetings with Meng Zhenping, Board Chairman of China Southern Power Grid and Li Zhuoxian, Chairman of Guangdong Energy Group respectively. 

The research group visited the Zhuhai Power Supply Bureau, Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau, Southern Power Grid Electric Vehicle Company and other enterprises, and learned about the progress of China Southern Power Grid on integrating and serving the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Shenzhen Pilot Demonstration Zone, as well as the development of power supply reliability, power quality, power business environment, and emerging businesses. Yang Kun fully affirmed the achievements of China Southern Power Grid Corporation in improving power supply quality, optimizing business environment, comprehensive energy services, electric vehicle services and energy storage industry construction. He said that the innovative practice and rich experience of China Southern Power Grid Corporation in these fields will strongly support the energy and power supply guarantee of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay area, and supply more high-quality and reliable power for Bay area construction.

During the visit to Guangdong Energy, the research group and delegates of the enterprise discussed the current electricity price policy mechanism, offshore wind power and pumped storage development, new energy generation subsidies, electricity spot trading and other hot issues in the power industry.

The two enterprises expressed their gratitude to CEC for providing services to the industry and its members for a long time, and highly praised the efforts made by CEC in the research on major issues of industry development and reflecting the voices of enterprises.
