On the afternoon of April 15, the "online forum on the analysis of China's industrial economy" hosted by the China Federation of Industrial Economics was successfully held through the live room of China Industry News. With the theme of "Coping with the COVID-19 and revitalizing the industrial economy", the forum summarized and analyzed the industrial economic operation in the first quarter of 2020, and put forward policy measures and suggestions from the aspects of promoting the stable operation of the industry, improving the industrial chain and supporting the new industrial mode.

Yang Kun, Executive President of CEC, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a speech. He pointed out that the resumption rate of power industry had exceeded 95%, and the main power grid and power generation enterprises had reached 100%, providing strong power support for COVID-19 prevention and the service of economic and social development. The impact of COVID-19 on electricity consumption has significantly declined in March, and the scale of daily electricity consumption at the end of March is estimated to return to the level of the same period last year. It is expected that the electricity consumption of the whole society in April is expected to achieve positive growth. In the second quarter, the electricity consumption of the whole society will achieve a medium-low growth rate, with a growth rate of about 9 percentage points higher than that of the first quarter.

Yang Kun, on behalf of CEC, suggested that under the influence of COVID-19, policy support for financing power companies should be increased to support the sustainable development of power enterprises; The time limits for new energy on-grid tariffs and other relevant policies should be properly extended; the requirements for bidding photovoltaic and biomass power generation should be appropriately relaxed to provide necessary guarantees for project safety, quality, and investment efficiency.
