On September 23,the Association of Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and the Western Pacific (AESIEAP) 2019 CEO Conference is held in Cebu, Philippines. With the theme of "Energizing Countries, Empowered Communities", the conference invited more than 200 ministers and industry leaders from the Asia-Pacific region to discuss regional energy challenges and to develop innovative solutions to further transition and sustainable development of the power industry in the region.
Liu Zhenya, Chairman of CEC,Yangkun,executive president,attended the conference,China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd.,China Power Investment Corporation attended the conference.
The chairman of AESIEAP hope the regional professional international non-governmental organizations, for the industry, especially the regional energy electricity sector and public institutions to provide more exchanges and cooperation platform, for the sustainable development of regional and global energy and power security to contribute.
At the conference, Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), makes debut release of Asia Energy Interconnection Research Report, proposing the overall plan and key projects for Asia energy interconnection projects. The report offers wisdom and solution for ensuring power supply, accelerating clean transition, and promoting energy infrastructure and the development of upstream and downstream industries in Asia. Liu Zhenya delivered a keynote speech entitled "Power Transition in China and Innovative Development of Global Energy Interconnection".
Liu Zhenya said, GEI is a modern energy system steering towards clean energy production, widespread energy allocation and electricitycentered energy consumption as well as an important platform for large scale development, transmission and utilization of clean energy resources at a global level. In essence, the concept of GEI is "Smart Grid +UHV Grid+ Clean Energy".
AESIEAP Conference will be held in Manila,Philippines on 29th,November-2nd,December 2020.
