China is the largest power producer in the world, and has the largest installed hydropower, wind and solar capacity of any country. The Chinese pavilion, organised by the China Electricity Council (CEC), will provide Chinese energy companies an excellent platform to showcase their cutting-edge generation and transmission technologies to energy leaders from around the world.

Speaking earlier today, Yang Kun, Executive President of the China Electricity Councilsaid: "Participating in this event and enhancing communication with the international energy community will make the advantages of the entire industry chain of China's power companies known to the world, promote win-win cooperation between Chinese energy companies and their counterparts, and further promote the "Belt and Road" initiative. We wish the Congress complete success."

Dr Matar Al Neyadi, Undersecretary at the UAE Ministry of Energy and Industry and Chairman of the Organising Committee for the 24th World Energy Congress, said "The UAE has long been a meeting point of East and West - it was one of the first countries to respond to the "Belt and Road" initiative, and is a founding member of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
