Representatives from EDF visits CEC
On August 28, Gwen Ruta, global president of EDF (Environmental Defense Fund ) with other 5 guests visited CEC, and Wang Zhixuan, vice president of CEC attended. Both sides exchanges opinions about the development of China electric power and the construction of carbon market.
Wang welcomed the visit of Ruta’s first, and then introduced CEC briefly, the current situation of China’s electric power as well as CEC’s efforts on promoting conservation in the power sector, tackling climate change and building national carbon market. In addition, Wang gave an in-depth answer to the questions raised by the guests. The two sides agreed that they would continue a long-term cooperation on the basis of existing one and promote the green clean carbon development of China electric power.
Members from CEC development and environmental resources department and CEC international cooperation department were present.
