2014 China Power Innovation Award Ceremony held in Shanghai

Initiated by China Electricity Council (CEC), the first China Power Innovation Award Ceremony was held in Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center on October 14, 2015. The initiative aims at encouraging technological and management innovation and promoting the application and commercialization of R&D fruits of the power industry. Under the support of the National Energy Administration (NEA) and CEC members, the review and appraisal of the projects submitted by power utilities and research institutions went through the whole year, and 51 selected projects were awarded on the event. 4 Projects grabbed the first prize, namely, the Demonstration Project of Ultra-High-Voltage AC Transmission from Anhui through Huainan to Shanghai, the Technology Integration and Engineering Application of Dual Circuit Shared Convertor Station System, Independently Developed Technology Toolkit and its Engineering Application of Large Scale Sea Water Desalinization by Low Temperature Distiling with Multiple Effect, and Technical Standards Drafting and Application of Power Grid Integration of New Energy Generation. The second prizes and third prizes were awarded to other 16 and 31 projects respectively. Zheng Shanjie, Deputy Director of National Energy Administration (NEA) and representatives from CEC members presented the event.
