The results of the 2021 IHA Board elections were announced recently. Mrs Li Li, Deputy Chief Economist of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), was elected a member.
The new Board will begin its two-year mandates from next month to October, 2023. As global clean energy transition faces a crucial time, the Board will spare no efforts to give hydropower a full play, strive for the goal of net zero carbon emission, and contribute to the global response to climate change.
IHA is the most renowned non-profit association in the world representing sustainable hydropower and has long been dedicated to the development of hydropower sector. As a core member of IHA and the largest hydropower developer and operator worldwide, CTG has been supporting IHA by playing a constructive role and sharing successful practices and experience in clean energy development, working together with the association and partners for the betterment of the sector.
Hosted by IHA, the 8th World Hydropower Congress will commence online on Sept. 7, and its outcome document, San Jose Declaration on Sustainable Hydropower will be taken to COP26, which starts in November, to demonstrate the key role of sustainable hydropower in energy transition to global leaders.
