With Energy China as the EPC contractor, Singapore's Sembcorp Tengeh Floating Solar Farm had its opening ceremony yesterday. The construction began in August last year, and it was officially put into operation last month. This is the world’s largest floating solar farm that was built in a drinking water reservoir. The operation efficiency of the floating solar panels is 5% to 15% higher than the traditional ones on the roof. It is expected to meet the power needs of 5 water treatment plants in Singapore. It will also reduce 32000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions which is equivalent to the reduction of 7000 private cars.
