On April 9, 2019, the project completed all its performance tests. The completion of the power plant has solved the problem of chronic electricity shortages in the region.
Located in National Timber Trade and Processing Demonstration Zone in Rizhao, Shandong province, the Rizhao Kaidi 1×30 MW Biomass Cogeneration Project is an economical and environmentally friendly clean energy power station.
Having been put into operation on Nov 3, 2020, the power station's annual power generation is estimated at more than 225 million kilowatt hours.
The Ibri Gas-fired Power Plant in Oman had improved local employment and boosted the local economy.
The power station started operating in May last year. It alleviated the urgent need for electricity for the economic development and growing population of the surrounding areas.
The Sohar 1,718 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant in Oman started commercial operations on May 4, 2019. To date, it has generated 23 billion kWh of electricity, which has greatly eased the shortage of the local power supply.
These projects have promoted the "going global" and industrial upgrading of China's power industry and improved the brand image of Chinese power companies in Oman and the Middle East.
Initiated in 2015, the Asian Power Awards identifies projects that represent the highest level of development in the power industry in Asia.
