China Southern Power Grid’s 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility Report is now available. With the philosophy of “Four-Dimensional” social responsibility modelling, i.e. power supply, green and eco-friendly, operating efficiency and harmony of society, the detailed report provides an intimate disclosure of CSG’s business practice and significant achievements in fulfilling its social responsibility tasks during the past year.
During Year 2019, CSG posted 1051.8 TWh in electricity sales, up 8.4% from the previous year and ranked 111th among the world's top 500 enterprises.
In 2019, CSG continued to optimize the power business environment, further reducing the annual power consumption cost of users by 17 billion yuan. The "Access to Electricity" indicators in Shenzhen and Guangzhou are world-class, and the power outage time in the central urban area is 0.57 hours per household.
In 2019, CSG implemented 24 measures for clean energy consumption, with clean energy basically fully consumed, and electricity from non-fossil energy accounted for 52.9%.
Moreover, China Southern Power Grid provided direct assistance for 234 impoverished areas and helped more than 71200 people move out of poverty.
At the COVID-19 outbreak in early 2020, China Southern Power Grid donated 30 million yuan to Hubei. CSG also donated 125 thousand emergency medical supplies worth 6.73 million yuan to the medical institutions in Wuhan, and donated 3 million yuan to the Guangxi.
