CTG's Hubei Energy Group launches a batch of solar projects
Hubei Energy Group, a subsidiary of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), launched five photovoltaic (PV) projects between September 28 and 30, with a total installed capacity of 190MW, stepping up its green energy push.
The projects are Guangshui Wudian Phase III 30MW project and Phase IV 40MW project, Suizhou Jiangtoudian 50MW aboveground project, Laohekou Hongshanzui Phase II 50MW agricultural and photovoltaic complementary project, and Dahongshan 20MW aboveground project. They are all national subsidy bidding projects for 2019.
The projects, once completed, can save 71,200 tons of standard coal a year, reducing 172,600 tons of carbon dioxide emission annually. The complementation between agriculture and PV or between forestry and PV improves the income of local farmers and benefits the environment as well as society.
