SGCC Released its First Corporate Social Responsibility Report in Brazil

On October 17,the social responsibility report of State Grid of China (Brazil) was released in Rio de Janeiro. This is the first time that the SGCC has released a national social responsibility report in Brazil,which details the development process of the company's business in Brazil, actively fulfilling its corporate social responsibility and environmental protection obligations, and benefiting the local people and realizing the comprehensive economic, social and environmental values.

Up to now, the company's total investment in Brazil is about 12.5 billion US dollars, accounting for more than 60% of the company's total overseas investment. It provides transmission and distribution services for 15 states including Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Brasilia, and provides strong support for the operation of the Brazilian power grid.

In 2010, State Grid Brazil Holding Co., Ltd. was established, currently operating more than 15,000 kilometers of transmission lines, investing in construction and operation of the two highest voltage and most advanced +-800 kV UHV DC transmission projects in South America - Brazil's beautiful mountain Phase I and Phase II of high voltage transmission.
