Lei Mingshan, Chairman of China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG), met with a delegation led by Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes, Minister of Environment and Energy Transition of Portugal on April 28 in Beijing, during which the two sides exchanged views on a range of topics such as deepening cooperation in the energy field, promoting green energy transition and the "Belt & Road "initiative.
Lei expressed his gratitude to the Portuguese government for its longstanding care and support to CTG and Energias de Portugal (EDP). CTG and EDP have made fruitful achievements in various areas through their strategic partnership and formed a solid foundation for cooperation, said Lei.
"We hope that both sides will give full play to their respective advantages and work together further to tap the markets in third countries," he said, adding that the two sides should ride on the opportunity created by the "Belt & Road "initiative to drive the bilateral cooperation into a new stage that is more sustainable and healthier and featuring fast-growth, with the support from the two governments.
