Li Keqiang Met with Romanian Prime Minister to Promote Nuclear Power Cooperation
December 16, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met with Romanian Prime Minister in Belgrade Punta.
Li said that both parties are comprehensively promoting the cooperation projects mutually agreed during Prime Minister's visit to China in September 2014. He expressed the hope for the two parties to step up cooperation to promote nuclear and thermal power projects and to expand transportation infrastructure cooperation. He also hoped that Romania can start the talks on Rama high-speed rail projects with Moldova soon and do research with China.
Li Keqiang said, as the host of the Meeting of Heads of Government of Central and Eastern European Countries and China, Romania has made important contributions in deepening bilateral cooperation. The "Bucharest Outline" is currently being implemented smoothly. China supports the idea of putting the enforcement organization of Energy Cooperation Association of Central and Eastern European Countries and China, to push forward bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Punta said Romania is a reliable friend and partner. Romania highly appreciated China’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries. It is willing to strengthen cooperation in nuclear power, thermal power, high-speed rail, aviation, agriculture, culture and other fields and to promote both the bilateral relations and the in-depth development between Central and Eastern European countries and China.
