Standardization Center, CEC

The Standardization Center of China Electricity Council conducts standardization administration in the power industry in China under the authorization of the Chinese government. CEC has the following responsibilities and functions:

1   To organize the drafting of standard formulation/revision plans of the power industry

2   To examine and check national standards and professional standards of the power industry drawn out by SAC and Power Professional Standard Technical Committees

3   To organize the setting up and election at expiration of office terms of Power Professional Standard Technical Committees, to organize and supervise the doings of Power Professional Standard Technical Committees

4   To organize the activities of related Technical Committee of IEC in China, to organize joining the IEC events, and to promote the adoption of international standards and advanced foreign standards

5   To guide the standardization of power enterprises and companies, to be responsible for registration of company standards of power companies at provincial level and above
