Hanoi, Vietnam - Cloaked in the darkened shroud of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world outside China still faces a dire situation in controlling it.
However, in order to accelerate the international business development of China Southern Power Grid, Tang Hongjian, Board Chairman of CSG International Co., Ltd., entered Vietnam on March 20 after a 14-day concentrated quarantine despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and a complicated entry procedure.
Between March 21 to 23, Mr. Tang and his group of senior officials from China Southern Power Grid visited varied Vietnam ministries, including the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and senior managers from the Trade and the Government Office.
During his varied visits in Vietnam, Mr. Tang reported on the many successes of the Vinh Tan 1 Coal-Fired Power Plant Project and other related work.
Tran Tuan Anh, the Minister of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Do Thang Hai, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade and Cao Luc, the Vice Chairman of the Government Office applauded CSG's numerous contributions and spoke highly of the Vinh Tan 1 Coal-Fired Power Plant Project and welcomed and supported CSG's future investments in Vietnam.
Mr. Tang expressed his deepest appreciation for the praise and support from the Government of Vietnam, saying, “CSG International Co., Ltd., would continue to meet the requirements of the government of Vietnam on safety, quality and environmental protection as well as making more contributions to Vietnam's economic development and the friendship between our two great countries”.
On March 22, Mr. Tang Hongjian visited Duong Quang Thanh, Chairman of Vietnam Electricity and discussed thoroughly further cooperation. Vietnam Electricity, established by the government of Vietnam as a state-owned company in 1994, is the largest power company in Vietnam and has operated officially as a one-member limited liability company since 2010.
Mr. Tang focused on CSG's new energy ratio, pumped storage, its experience and technological advantages in constructing complex grids and proposed for further cooperation.
Mr. Duong said that he would, “promote relevant technological exchanges and seek opportunities for cooperation if possible”.
On the morning of March 24, Mr. Tang Hongjian and his group visited Xiong Bo, the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Vietnam.
Mr. Tang expressed his thanks to the Embassy and its staff for their timely support and assistance to China Southern Power Gird in arranging this special visit to Vietnam. He then , reported to Ambassador Xiong about their work, and promised that CSG, “would be committed to building a high-quality, safe and environmental brand”.
According to Ambassador Xiong, the government of Vietnam, “appreciates the professionalism and highest standard of work presented by China Southern Power Grid in the Vinh Tan 1 Coal-Fired Power Plant”.
In particular, Phạm Minh Chính, the Prime Minister of Vietnam, took time to praise the Vinh Tan 1 Coal-Fired Power Plant, hoping that all projects invested by China in Vietnam, “follow the professional example of the Vinh Tan 1 Coal-Fired Power Plant Project”.
In his response, Mr. Tang promised that China Southern Power Grid will, “conscientiously implement the Belt and Road initiative, make more contributions to the economic and trade cooperation as well as the friendship between China and Vietnam”.
