Khamphao Ernthavanh Lao Ambassador to China Visits Yunnan International Co. Ltd.

Guangzhou - During the morning of March 26, Khamphao Ernthavanh, Laos Ambassador to China and her company visited the Yunnan International Co. Ltd., to deepen their understanding of Sino/Laos power cooperation with emphasis on power grid interconnectivity.
Ambassador Ernthavanh expressed her deepest appreciation for the remarkable contributions that China Southern Power Grid and Yunnan International Co. Ltd. have jointly made to the power industry and the social and economic development of Laos over the years. She also praised CSG - and its senior management team - for cultivating the many talents within the power industry of Laos while deepening economic cooperation with its Lao counterparts.
Ambassador Ernthavanh said the pragmatic and effective cooperation between CSG and Laos is proving true the promise of being "good neighbors, good friends, good comrades and good partners" while serving to building up the Sino/Laos community of a shared future.
The Ambassador hoped that CSG would continue to collaborate closely with Électricité du Laos to accelerate the construction of power facilities in Laos and press ahead with the training of talents for the Lao power industry, so as to lay a solid intellectual foundation for the development of its power industry and provide strong support for the social and economic development of Laos.
Électricité du Laos is the state corporation of Laos that owns and operates the country's electricity generation, electricity transmission and electricity distribution assets. EDL also manages the import and export of electricity from the national electricity grid of the country. EDL was founded in 1959 and is headquartered in Vientiane.
Other attendees include the Consul General of Laos in Kunming; officials of the Lao Embassy in China; Deputy Director of Foreign Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government; Chairman of Yunnan International Co. Ltd., and other related senior managers.
