CSG Issues First English Enterprise Standards

Guangzhou - On April 7, China Southern Power Grid became the first central power enterprise in China to complete the English translation of enterprise standards, with the first issuance of the English versions of three enterprise standards:
Technical Guidelines for 35 kV-500 kV AC Transmission Line Equipment, Regulation for Content and Depth of Feasibility Study of 500 kV and
Above AC and DC Transmission and Transformation Projects, and
Overhead Electrical Stranded Conductors Composite Core Reinforced.
Development of English CSG standards will help China Southern Power Grid engineers eliminate technical barriers wedged against attracting new international business, strengthen its international technical exchange and bolster the upcoming China-Myanmar Power Connectivity Program and China-Vietnam DC Interconnection Program.
These important standards can also help Chinese power enterprises stand out in the global value chain and promote export of China's technology and equipment throughout the international community.
By May 2019, China Southern Power Grid senior managers formulated the “CSG Action Plan for Standard Internationalization” which set the working plan for translation of standards for core technologies.
The three English versions of the standards have been completed and updated by the CSG Electric Power Research Institute.
Throughout Year 2020, CSG will encourage initiatives from units at all levels to complete the translation of 19 enterprise standards in the ongoing effort of building China Southern Power Grid into a world-class enterprise with competitiveness throughout the international community.
