Vice President Jiang Yi Attends BIXPO and Visits KEPCO

From November 2nd to November 4th , the 2nd Bitgaram International Exposition of Electric Power Technology (BIXPO) was held in Gwangju, Korea. On behalf of CSG, Vice President Jiang Yi attended the conference and visited its technical exhibition. With the theme of “Clean Energy & Green Electric Power”, the exposition was organized by KEPCO and attracted approximately 4,000 representatives from 35 countries around the globe.

During his stay in Korea, Jiang Yi paid visits to KEPCO’s headquarters in Naju as well as the Seoul Division, meeting with Park Kwonsik, Vice President of KEPCO and Lee HoPyeong, Vice President of KEPCO Seoul Division respectively. Both sides exchanged experience,on assets management, distribution network operation, maintenance and automation, transmission planning, disaster prevention management, etc.

Jiang said that CSG attached great importance to the construction of distribution network, of which the operation and maintenance would also be one of CSG’s priorities in the future. He hoped that CSG and KEPCO would jointly explore the opportunities and challenges in operating distribution network and managing equipment assets, share information and experience with each other, and probe into the future development of electric power grid so as to offer safe and reliable power support to the society.

Park Kwonsik held that CSG and KEPCO maintained a sound long-term relationship of exchanges and cooperation. In October, 2015, both sides renewed the MOU signed in 2011, aiming to promote more pragmatic cooperation. This meeting would lay a solid foundation for the regular technological exchange in the next year. During his visit to KEPCO in Seoul, Jiang Yi visited the distribution network dispatching center, learning about the status quo of the company’s distribution network, including the equipment scale, dispatching, automation, IT utilization and GIS system. Besides, he also paid a visit to the Myeongdong Power Distribution Station.

Representatives of the Operation& Equipment Management Department, Guangdong Power Grid Company, Guizhou Power Grid Company and Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau Co., Ltd also participated in the visit.
