Taking CSG Electrical Power Supplies “Over the Cliff”

The Shandong Group is located in a remote region located at the foot of a 500-meter-deep valley in Baiduo Village, Baiduo Township, Shibing County, Miao-Dong Autonomous Prefecture of Qiandongnan, Guizhou Province.
The only method to navigate your way down to this remote region is traversing a narrow cliff path that is so steep that it truly is a spine-chilling affair to walk along its edge with the jagged peaks lurking below.
For years, only eight families lived at the base of this valley, seemingly trapped down with the sheer walls butrussing them all around. It takes more than seven hours to trudge to and from the nearest Baiduo township market.
In 2014, all eight families were listed as impoverished households in which they received direct assistance by the government. However, there have been no roads to help them lift out of poverty.
It is of absolute necessity to build a road for the villagers that they can walk – or ride - their way reach out for a better life. After years of waiting, in early 2018, a single road was built descending from the top of the valley, connecting the cliff path and the village to the outside world.
From that point, villagers could park their motorcycles near the entry of the road. When they wanted to go out, they first would carry their goods on horseback to the top of the valley and then transfer their goods on via motorcycle to ride to the market … shortening the overall time to three hours.
The Kaili Shibing Power Supply Bureau of the Guizhou Power Grid Company began upgrading the distribution grid for the Shandong Group in early 2019. The bureau then added a transformer and a distribution line of over 4,500 meters, despite the incredible challenges in transporting construction materials through these harsh terrains … but the end result speaks volumes with power grid and voltage stability of the village being greatly improved.
In September 2019, the service team from the bureau returned to again begin their long-term supply service for the Shandong Group. Team members donated household appliances such as energy-saving light bulbs, rice husking machines and induction cookers to the welcoming villagers.
They also spent time to visit and chat with the resident elders and community leaders.
In addition, technicians from the Kaili Shibing Power Supply Bureau checked the power use and asked the villagers what else they could do to improve their standard of living in this truly remote hamlet.
Sometimes the engineers even shopped for some living supplies for the villagers before descending their way down the sheer cliff.

Every time when the team comes to Shangdong Group, they have to walk through this narrow cliff path … a dangerous pathway with a ravine only feet below.
