Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant in Vietnam Sets a Record Monthly Generating Capacity

In May 2020, the dual generating sets of Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant in Vietnam generated 898 GWh of power for a year-on-year increase of 23.35%, which set a record on generating capacity per month since its operation.
Main indicators included equivalent availability factor (EAF) were better than that of the same period last year as by May 31, the plant has worked for 696 days without incident.

Zero COVID-19 infections and overcome difficulties during the COVID-19 pandemic
This year, Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant senior managers faced great pressure in preventing and controlling the coronavirus pandemic. There are nearly 1,000 workers at this project from different countries, making it difficult to monitor their travel history and contain the virus.
Following the requirements of CSG International Co. Ltd., Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant ensured the health of all workers on duty by consistently testing their body temperature, asking all staff to wear surgical masks during work hours, regularly disinfecting working places and filing health records.
By the end of May, no confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19 was found in Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant.

Also by the end of May, the total generating capacity of the two sets in 2020 reached 4.066 TWh, and that in the second contract year (beginning November 27, 2019) was 5.064 TWh, a year-on-year increase.
At present, the Company has invited tenders for the grade maintenance of each section of the two generating sets. Technological transformation and unfinished projects continue to be on schedule.
In the future, the Vinh Tan 1 Power Plant in Vietnam is expected to will manage grade maintenance and technological transformation effectively, balancing between epidemic prevention and safe production to efficiently finish all tasks of the second contracted year.
