CSG & South Korea’s KEPCO Hold 10th Annual Joint Conference

Guangzhou - China Southern Power Grid and KEPCO co-sponsored their 10th  Annual Conference via video on digital transformation and distribution network automation.
The Korea Electric Power Corporation, better known as KEPCO, is the largest electric utility in South Korea, responsible for the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and the development of electric power projects including those in nuclear power, wind power and coal.
Liu Qihong, Vice President of CSG and Lee Heyn-Bin, Vice President of KEPCO, delivered their respective keynote speeches.
Mr. Liu said, “this Year 2020 marked the 10th Anniversary of the joint communication between China Southern Power Grid and KEPCO and due to extensive and in-depth communication, our two parties have achieved remarkable success in the management of main grids in distribution networks, power supply reliability, HVDC power transmission, smart grid, human resources and other fields”.
Mr. Liu said that he, “had great hope that in the future, our two companies will set a vivid positive example for the cooperation between Chinese and Korean enterprises by enhancing communication and cooperation on new technologies, talents development and international cooperation”.
Mr. Lee noted that CSG and KEPCO, “had been communicating and cooperating actively for mutual development”.
Facing remarkable trends in global energy, Mr. Lee expressed his hopes that the two companies, “would further their discussions and cooperate in more topics like personnel management and training, regional cooperation, company operation and management to explore ways of digital transformation and the intrinsic & extrinsic value of the company, and to better their management and technologies”.
Representatives from varied departments of KEPCO discussed key issues on digital transformation and distribution network automation and management systems with China Southern Power Grid's International Cooperation, Technology and well as  Digitization Departments as well as CSG’s Power Dispatching and Communication Center and DGRI.
