Brasilia, Brazil - The BRICS Business Forum, held in mid-November was held here in the Brazilian capital.
Under the theme of “Economic Partnership for a New Development Cycle”, BRICS business leaders held in-depth discussions on Trade-intra BRICS Countries, Innovation and Digital Economy in the BRICS Countries and Investment Opportunities in BRICS Countries.
BRICS is the acronym coined for an association of five major emerging national economies: Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
The Closing Ceremony of the BRICS Business Forum was held in Brasilia. His Excellency, President Xi Jinping attended the concluding ceremony and delivered a speech.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and South African President Cyril Ramaphosa also attended the Closing Ceremony.
Mr. Meng Zhenping, Board Chairman of China Southern Power Grid, was invited to attend the opening session, all meetings, and the closing session.
The BRICS Business Forum, an important side-event of the BRICS Summit, was launched in Year 2010 and has been hosted by the country holding the rotating presidency of BRICS. It serves as an important platform for business leaders to discuss issues of common concern, building consensus and raising policy suggestions.
