CSG Holds a Leading Group Meeting on Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection

On February 3, CSG held the 2016 Leading Group Meeting on Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection. The meeting reviewed the corporation’s 2016 work plan on energy conservation and environmental protection, the company’s research report on energy conservation and environmental protection of the 13th Five-Year Plan period and the decisions to commend well-performed organizations and individuals for energy conservation and environment protection in 2015. CSG Vice President Chen Yunpeng hosted this meeting.

In 2015, under the guidance of the company’s leadership and the leading group on energy conservation and environmental protection, all the departments of the headquarter in cooperation and coordination with affiliated units fulfilled 41 annual tasks and overachieved the goal listed in the 12th Five-Year Plan and the fourth term performance appraisal on energy conservation and emission reduction issued by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC).

The meeting examined and approved the 2016 work plan on energy conservation and environmental protection and the list of 2015 well-performed organizations and individuals for energy conservation and environment protection. In 2016, CSG will continue to thoroughly carry out the green development approach concentrating on creating a corporate brand image as a green electricity provider, tap the energy-saving potential of the power grids, and facilitate the development of clean energy to promote social energy efficiency. Priorities of 2016 include facilitating the adjustment of regional energy structure, reinforcing the management of energy conservation and consumption reduction, improving the coordination between power grid development and the environment, and promoting the effective improvement of social energy efficiency.

The meeting reviewed the company’s research report on energy conservation and environmental protection of the 13th Five-Year Plan period. All the departments actively made suggestions on this report. The meeting held that, conducting in-depth energy conservation and environmental protection is an effective measure to carry out the green development outlook, and that everyone should assume the responsibility of saving energy and protecting the environment, by effectively carrying out the concept of energy conservation and environment protection in each daily task.

Directors of the relevant departments of the headquarters, CSG Power Research Institution (SEPRI) and CSG Energy Co., Ltd also attended the meeting.
