CSG's Nine Projects Win "2017 China Electric Power Quality Engineering Awards"

Guangzhou - The China Electric Power Construction Association (CEPCA) has issued its “Announcements on the Appraisal Results for 2017 China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award" and all nine China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. (CSG) projects, including the ±500 kV Funing converter station recommended by CSG, have passed the evaluation, a record high in the company's history.

In addition, the ±500 kV Funing converter station was also recommended for the China Construction Engineering Luban Award; CSG’s ±500 kV Yongren converter station was recommended for the National Quality Engineering Award, and the 220 kV Diyong converter station as well as three additional projects were recommended to apply for the National Installation Engineering Quality Award.

The China Electric Power Quality Engineering Award is China's highest honor for project quality in the power construction industry.

The appraisal activity for these awards is held annually by CEPCA and the overall construction quality index of awarded projects represents the advanced level of projects of the same kind over the same annual period.

Enterprises may apply for the award on a voluntary basis and CEPCA organizes a field re-examination, arranges a meeting to conduct project appraisals and makes its concluding appraisal results. CEPCA officials then recommend representative projects among the awarded projects to further apply for the National Quality Engineering Award.

In order to improve the quality of power construction projects, promote technology innovation and development and secure investment returns, CSG has been a leader in the application of five new technologies in power construction and 10 new technologies in the construction industry and infrastructure sector.

Acquiring patents, engineering methods, science and technology progress prizes and QC achievement awards substantially raises the awareness of the quality and management of project quality in CSG's grassroots units as well as units participating in varied construction.
