On the afternoon of September 13, Mr. Wang Liangyou, Vice President of CSG met with Mr. Bruce Andrews, Deputy Secretary of United States Department of Energy. The meeting provided an arena for discussions on China-US trade cooperation, talent exchanges and training, and issues related to the singing of a strategic cooperation agreement between CSG and First Fuel Software Company.
Bruce Andrews remarked: “The economic prosperity of Guangzhou was closely related to the steady power supply of CSG”. He noted that the delegations of US government and energy companies, during the visit to CSG in April 2015, were greatly impressed by CSG’s achievements on energy conservation and emission reduction. He also encouraged further enhancement of China-US trade cooperation and exchanges of managerial talents.
Wang Liangyou extended a warm welcome to Bruce Andrews and his delegation. He introduced CSG’s current development, in particular the achievements on long-distance, ultra-high voltage and large-capacity power transmission. Wang also wished for further exchanges and cooperation in relevant areas to advance the development of power industries in both countries.
Sarah Kemp, Minister Counselor of US Embassy in China, Charles Bennett, Consul General of US Consulate General in Guangzhou, Wang Jifeng, Deputy Chief Engineer of CSG, and representatives of CSG’s International Department, Equipment Department, and the Science and Research Institute of CSG attended the meeting.
