Lijiang, Yunnan - The ± 800 kV Dianxibei DC project, the world's highest West-to-East Power Transmission channel, was carried out the outage repair for the first time. Usually, it takes 5 to 6 hours to work on the pylon. In order to save time and energy, the operation and maintenance staffs can only have lunch at an altitude of 65 meters in the strong wind. Sometimes they even have lunch at the altitude of 120 meters.
The outage repair will last 13 days to ensure the west-to-east channel works well so that the project can deliver more clean energy from west to Shenzhen, and support the development of the Guangdong - Hongkong - Macau Greater Bay Area.
