CSG Releases 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Guangzhou - China Southern Power Grid’s 2018 Corporate Social Responsibility Report is now available. The detailed report provides an intimate disclosure of CSG’s philosophy, business practice and significant achievements in fulfilling its social responsibility tasks during the past year.

The report outlines CSG’s full implementation and major decisions and policies of the CPC Central Committee.

During Year 2018, CSG transmitted 217.5 TWh power from the west to the east, up 7.2% from the previous year and a new record high. The Company formulated special plans for the expanded utilization of clean energy and non-fossil energy which accounted for 51.5% of its total power generation.

To meet its strategic goals of regional coordinated development, the Company  made two versions of “26 measures” (respectively) for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and for Hainan, meeting the latest rural grid transformation goals in Guangdong - a full two years ahead of schedule.

Moreover, China Southern Power Grid provided direct assistance for 240 impoverished areas and helped more than 81,000 people move out of poverty.

CSG has been ramping up its internal transformation as a smart grid operator, a value chain coordinator in the energy sector and an energy ecosystem service provider.
