Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - Shi Zhengjiang, Vice President of China Southern Power Grid visited Edra Power Holdings here for meetings with Edra President and Executive Director Datuk Mark Ling.
Edra Power Holdings is one of South East Asia’s leading international independent power producers, controlling a diversified portfolio of quality power generation assets across a range of technologies. Edra Global Energy Bhd has assets including 13 operating power plants in five countries along the Belt and Road, namely Malaysia, Egypt, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
On April 3, 2018, CSG and CGN completed the delivery of equity of the Edra project in Shenzhen. CSG successfully acquired 37 % of Edra’s share.
During his visit to Malaysia, Mr. Shi visited the Jimah East Power Plant.
Mr. Shi explained that the two companies “have their own advantages and can complement each other in power development and power grid construction and as one of the shareholders of Edra Power Holdings, CSG is willing to use its capital, technology and management advantages to strengthen communication, cooperation and mutual learning, so as to achieve win-win results.”
Mr. Ling welcomed Mr. Shi and his visiting entourage, presenting an overview of the Edra organization and expressed his hope that the two sides would continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation.
