Hainan Power Grid Guarantees Power Supply for the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2016

Recently, Hainan Power Grid Company held a special grade kickoff meeting for the guarantee of power supply during the Annual Conference of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) 2016. The company stressed that all units should perfectly assure power supply, bearing high political sensitivity and responsibility.

It is said that this year’s BFA annual conference will be held from March 22nd to 25th in Qionghai, Hainan. Themed Asia’s New Future: New Dynamics and New Vision, the conference covers 83 symposiums, including sub-forums, theme banquets, bilateral dialogues between CEOs, dialogues with entrepreneurs, etc.

The power supply guarantee work will cover the whole Hainan province, involving major venues such as the main halls of the BFA, related hotels in Qionghai, Sanya and Haikou, and Hainan’s airports, railways, government agencies, press media organizations, key hospitals, etc. Hainan Power Grid expressed that since this annual conference will have a long session with lots of activities and a wide scope, the goal is threefold, that is, to ensure safe, reliable and stable operation of the Hainan grid as well as zero defect and tripping of electric transmission and transformation equipment during the conference; to ensure zero malfunction and black-out at major venues; to ensure zero accidents of the Internet and information systems in units of all levels.

The meeting pointed out that to guarantee the power supply for the BFA annual conference is a vital political mission to which great emphasis must be laid by all units without any errors. Under the work instruction, the company must manage and control the whole process of power supply guarantee with a high sense of responsibility, comprehensive measures and perfect implementation. It should enhance communication with the government, power generation companies, Extra High Voltage Power Transmission Company and major consumers. The company should also do a good job in venue security, information security and reception work.
