Li Qingkui Meets With EDL’s Duangsi Phalavong

According to Mr. Li, under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and in the spirit of the 19th Communist Party of China National Congress and the 2018 NPC and CPPCC Sessions, CSG has mapped out its industrial layout by focusing on main grid business, facilitating finance and comprehensive energy services and accelerating international development, in order to build CSG into a world-leading power grid enterprise featuring sophisticated management, fine service, outstanding performance and excellent brand.

CSG will assume its constructive duties in power grid cooperation throughout the Great Mekong Subregion, as well as joining in cooperative work with EDL under the principle of mutual benefits and win-win cooperation which will promote power grid connectivity and bring numerous benefits to people of both nations.

It is hoped that both sides can take meaningful measures to facilitate the implementation of various projects which will improve the safety and stability of the grid in Laos.

It is especially necessary to ensure that the Nam Tha 1 Hydropower Station goes into operation on schedule, so that reliable power services will guarantee the construction and the operation of the China-Laos Railway.

Mr. Phalavong expressed his appreciation to CSG for its support and help to EDL and expressed his desire that both sides would further expand and accelerate this mutually beneficial cooperation, on the basis of current achievements, in power grid interconnection, power trade, technical exchanges, and personnel training.

In these joint efforts both CSG and EDL are able to set a positive example in power cooperation in the Great Mekong Subregion, achieving numerous mutual benefits and win-win results.
