Guangzhou - Li Qingkui, board chairman of China Southern Power Grid (CSG) hosted a visiting delegation led by Brenda Eaton, Board Chairwoman of Transelec, Chile’s largest electric transmission company on May 16.
CSG’s Vice President Bi Yaxiong also attended the meeting.
Mr. Li welcomed Ms. Eaton and her colleagues. He introduced the safe production and operation of CSG, with emphasis on the Company’s international business and the UHVDC multi-terminal power transmission project which transmits electricity from Wudongde power station to Guangdong and Guangxi provinces.
Mr. Li said, “CSG will give full play to its edge in technology and management and strengthen cooperation with all shareholders to support the development of Transelec. It is hoped that all parties can deepen exchanges and cooperation.”
Ms. Eaton expressed her gratitude to CSG for its warm reception and considerate arrangements made by her Guangzhou-based counterparts. She gave a brief account of Transelec and noted that they would, “all learn something from CSG in pumped storage and UHVDC power transmission and enhance cooperation for mutual development”.
