Huaneng Group and the Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Holding Ceremony of Demolishing Small Generator Units of Wula’er Mountain Power Plant

At 10:50 on April 20, 2007, with a loud bang, the cooling tower of the shut-down generator sets #1 and #2 of Wula Mountain Power Plant of North United Power Co., Ltd. under Huaneng Group collapsed, marking the successfulcompletion of the blasting demolition. This means that a new progress has been made again in the national drive toshut down small thermal generator units and the full-scale implementation of the campaign to shut down such unitslaunched by Huaneng Group and the power industry of Inner Mongolia.
