Huaneng and US-based Southern Co signed Cooperation Framework Agreement

On December 1st, Mr. Sun Zhiyong, Vice President of China Huaneng Group, and Mr. Mark Lantrip, Executive Vice President of US-based Southern Co., signed the Cooperation Framework Agreement on behalf of both companies.

According to the agreement, both parties will actively explore cooperation in various fields such as power project development, technology research and development, environmental protection, and information sharing, etc, and will enhance work exchange of both parties at all levels. The Agreement will facilitate mutual cooperation in the energy sector, and will be of great significance for Huaneng to further implement the international strategy and expand international operation.

Before signing the Agreement, Sun Zhiyong and Mark Lantrip had friendly discussions and exchanged views on how to execute the Agreement and deepen mutual cooperation on a win-win basis.
