China Huaneng Group was Awarded as “Company with Excellent Performance” by the SASAC

At the Central Enterprises Leadership Meeting held by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (“SASAC”) of the State Council on July 23, Chairman Li Rongrong announced the assessment results of Central Enterprises in terms of operating performance in 2009. China Huaneng Group was rated as “A” and received the title of “Company with Excellent Performance”. China Huaneng Group also received the “Special Award for Scientific and Technological Innovation” and the “Special Award for Energy Saving and Emissions Reduction”.

Over the years, China Huaneng Group has made outstanding achievements by adhering to the Scientific Outlook on Development. By the end of 2009, its installed capacity reached 104.38 GW, accounting for 11.6% of China’s total. It is the first Chinese power producer to reach 100GW, ranking 1st in Asia and 2nd in the world in terms of installed capacity. It is also the first Chinese power producer to join the ranks of Fortune 500 Companies, and has made significant contributions to the value preservation and increase of state-owned assets.
