Mr. Cao Peixi met with Siemens CEO & President

On 25th March, 2018, Mr. Cao Peixi, Chariman of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., met with Mr. Joe Kaeser, Siemens CEO & President, in Beijing, joined by Mr. FAN Qixiang, Vice President of China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd., Mr. Cedrik Neike, Chairman of Siemens China, and Mr. Lothar Herrmann, CEO of Siemens China. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation and partnership.

After extending his warm welcome to Mr. Kaeser, Mr. Cao introduced Huaneng’s achievements on restructuring, upgrading, and S&T innovation. Mr. Cao said that he hoped Huaneng and Siemens would work closely to seek for development opportunities based on the long-term bilateral cooperation under the context of the Belt & Road Initiative and China high quality development strategy. The two parties shall further strengthen strategies connection and exchanges under bilateral and multi-lateral framework and make full use of complementary advantages to expand more fields for cooperation in sectors of energy transition, digitalization, and global energy governance, so as to make more contribution to the social and economic development of both China and Germany through contributing Chinese wisdom to low-carbon, clean, high-efficient, sustainable growth in energy sector.

Mr. Kaeser appreciated Huaneng’s trust and support to Siemens and expressed high recognition for Huaneng’s achievements in the past years. He said that Siemens attached great significance to its cooperation with Huaneng and Siemens would be willing to participate in China’s high quality development by exploring more practical cooperation opportunities and supplying equipment upgrading services, renewable energy power generation technologies, and IT services, so as to achieve common development in the international energy market.
