Five Projects of Huaneng Winning National Award for High Quality Projects in 2008Gold Award Bestowed on the 1000MW USC Project of China

At the award presentation assembly held in Beijing on December 21, 2008, 5 projects of China Huaneng Group won the national awards for high-quality projects.Phase 1 of Huaneng Yuhuan Power Plant (2×1000MW),the first 1000MW USC coal-fired project in China, is the only power source project to win a gold award.Huaneng’s silver award winning projects include: phase 2 of Xiaotiandu Hydropower Station on Wasi River in Sichuan Province, phase 3 project of Huaneng Huaiyin Power Plant, phase-2 expansion project of Huaneng Hegang Power Plant and Huaneng Weihai wind power generation project, which accounted for 1/3 of the silver award winning projects at this time.
