CHD Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Board Zhao Jianguo attended the First China-ROK CEO and Former Senior Official’s Dialogue and met with SK Group Chairman and CEO Chey Tae-won on June 29, 2018, in Beijing.
The First China-ROK CEO and Former Senior Official’s Dialogue was co-hosted by the China Center for International Economic Exchanges (CCIEE) and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Delegated from two sides had open discussions on such topics as the status of globalization, China-Korea economic and trade relations and FTA, opportunities for industrial development and cooperation. CCIEE Chairman Zeng Peiyan, Korean Former National Assembly Speaker Sye-kyun Chung, businesspeople, former government officials and think tank experts from China and Korea joined the dialogue.
As the only delegate working in power industry, Chairman Zhao introduced CHD development and its cooperation with Korean companies and made suggestions on promoting China-Korea economic and trade cooperation. He said companies from two countries should use this dialogue as a platform to strengthen strategic communication, enhance mutual understanding and confidence, learn from each other’s advantages for mutual benefits, explore a third market along the Belt and Road route and contribute to the construction of a community with a shared future.
