Zhao Jianguo meets with Claudio Facchin of ABB

CHD Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the Board Zhao Jianguo met with Claudio Facchin, President of Power Grids division and Member of Group Executive Committee, ABB Ltd, exchanging views on further strengthening cooperation, at CHD headquarters in Beijing, on June 20.

Zhao Jianguo welcomed the visiting delegation and praised the achievements from long-term cooperation. Zhao said ABB is a world-renowned enterprise and enjoys good reputation in power industry, adding the two companies have established good foundation for cooperation through intensive exchanges and the joint venture Nanjing SAC Automation Company has been achieving new progress since its establishment. Zhao said the power industry is now transforming at a transitional stage and is embracing broader space for development brought by reforms in energy and power systems. Zhao hoped that two companies seize opportunities and strengthen cooperation focusing on building smart power stations and applying new energies and implementing the Belt and Road initiative in accordance with the 13^th Five-Year-Plan, so as to promote mutual benefits.  

Claudio Facchin expressed his appreciation for Huadian’s great support and briefly introduced ABB organizational structure and business in China. He said the joint venture is commendable for achieving growth against challenges. He hoped that two groups will maintain a communication mechanism for broaden and deepen the scoped of cooperation in developing smart plant and new energy and building overseas projects, so as to step up cooperation to a new level.  

Heads of relevant departments with Huadian group company and subsidiaries, managerial team from ABB also attended the meeting.
